
Registration Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your registration and attendance at the Hunter Safety Awards, hosted by Hunter Safety Awards Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By registering to attend, you agree to these Terms, which apply to all attendees regardless of whether entry is paid or complimentary.
1. Event Organiser
This event is presented by Hunter Safety Awards Pty Ltd, celebrating excellence in workplace health and safety across the Hunter Region.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By registering to attend the Hunter Safety Awards, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We may update these Terms as needed, and your continued registration or attendance confirms your acceptance.
3. Eligibility and Entry

The event is designed for individuals and organisations engaged in workplace health and safety, especially those based in or connected to the Hunter Region.

Entry may be subject to capacity limits or security requirements.

All attendees must be 16 years or older unless prior written approval is provided.

We reserve the right to decline or revoke registration at our discretion, including for breaches of these Terms.
4. Registration Platform

All registrations are processed through Wix Events on the official Hunter Safety Awards website.

By registering, you also agree to Wix’s own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is successfully completed. Please check your inbox and spam folders.
5. Ticketing and Fees
-
Where applicable, ticket prices will be listed in AUD and are inclusive of GST.

Payment must be made in full prior to attendance.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

A tax invoice will be issued for all paid tickets.
6. Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds

No refunds will be issued unless required under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

If the event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or credit will be offered.

If the event is rescheduled, your ticket will be automatically transferred. If you are unable to attend, a refund or credit will be provided upon request.

Name changes or ticket transfers are allowed up to 48 hours before the event via written request to: info@huntersafetyawards.com.au
7. Program & Venue Changes

The event program, venue, speaker line-up or entertainment may change at any time.

No refunds will be provided for program changes unless the entire event is cancelled.
8. Health & Safety Requirements

All attendees must comply with local health advice, public health orders, and any safety protocols in place at the venue.

If you are unwell or showing symptoms of illness, you may be refused entry.
9. Code of Conduct
-
All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and professionally.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour.

Anyone violating this code may be removed from the venue without refund.
10. Photography and Filming

The event will be photographed and recorded. By attending, you consent to your image and likeness being used for promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing before the event.

11. Intellectual Property

All event content and materials, including presentations and branding, remain the intellectual property of Hunter Safety Awards or the relevant speaker/partner.

You may not copy, distribute, or record content without express written permission.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations, delays or changes due to events outside our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will offer reasonable alternatives, such as rescheduling or issuing credits.
13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the price of your ticket.

We are not responsible for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
14. Privacy and Communications

We collect personal information during registration to communicate with you about the event.

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and may be shared with trusted partners or sponsors for relevant communications.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
